Event & Walk-In Attendance – Release and Waiver
This release and waiver applies to all walk-in visitors, drop-in guests, and attendees of Studio Presence events including open nights, music events, and public programming. By entering the studio, you agree to the following terms.
1. Assumption of Risk
I understand and acknowledge that:
• Attendance at Studio Presence events, including sound-based sessions, live music, and wellness programming, involves participation in an environment with amplified sound, varying lighting, and immersive experiences.
• Sound sessions may involve extended periods of stillness, low-frequency audio, or guided relaxation, which can occasionally surface unexpected emotional or physical responses.
• I attend entirely of my own free will and accept responsibility for my personal wellbeing during the event.
• Studio Presence, its directors, instructors, and staff accept no liability for any physical injury, emotional distress, or loss of personal property arising from attendance, except where caused by gross negligence.
• I release Studio Presence from any claim I may have against Studio Presence arising out of my attendance at a Studio Presence event.
2. Sound & Sensory Disclosure
Studio Presence events may include amplified music, subwoofer frequencies, live DJ performances, and immersive audio environments. If you have any sensitivity to sound, light, or enclosed spaces, please speak with a staff member before entering a session. Ear protection is available on request.
3. Not a Clinical Service
Studio Presence is a wellness and creative space. Events and sessions are not medical or clinical services and are not a substitute for professional mental health treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please seek appropriate professional support.
4. Code of Conduct
By attending Studio Presence, you agree to:
• Treat fellow attendees, instructors, and staff with respect.
• Follow directions given by Studio Presence staff at all times.
• Conduct yourself in a manner that does not disrupt the experience of other attendees.
Studio Presence reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual whose behaviour is deemed disruptive or unsafe, without refund.
5. No Liability for Personal Property
Studio Presence accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises. Attendees are advised to leave valuables at home or keep them on their person at all times. Storage locations are available located within the studio.
6. Photography & Media Consent
Studio Presence may photograph or film events for social media and marketing use. By attending Studio presence participants consent to the possibility of being photographed or filmed at this event for marketing purposes.
7. Right of Entry
Studio Presence reserves the right to refuse entry to any individual at its sole discretion. Entry to events does not guarantee access to all areas of the studio.
